I thought I had a picture.....when you find Taron like this and she say's "Mommy horsey" .....I think it is big girl bed time.

Baking for Uncle Bob

We made cookies to send to Uncle Bob for his birthday. T loved doing it and Uncle Bob LOVED the cookies!!

I received the best phone call from Uncle Bob thanking us for the cookies and then Aunt Debbie sent the following email. I cried when I read it!


OMG......Bob loved the cookies!!!!! It was the cutest thing watching him open them. I had them wrapped in a box that I covered just the top of the box so he didn't have to flip them over and could just lift the lid off.....then I took my eyes off of him for a nano second and upside down the box went and he was tearing the paper off of the no-tear top!!!!! But, cookies were safe. When he opened the box, I swear I saw some teardrops in his eyes as I had set your note and the pictures of  T on top of the cookies. He was so touched that you had put so much thought into making sure you remembered his birthday. First, getting all the ingredients and shopping for a card. Then the bake-off along with pictures, which were absolutely the most precious part of the "treat"....figuring out how to package them and doing it the most thoughtful way on earth.....Jen LOVED the clothes! Then heading to the post office and mailing them!!!!!! You amaze me more and more every day......I don't know how we got so many blessing the day you stepped into our lives. And, I don't know how you find the time to do such thoughtful and generous things, but you certainly made Bob's day....all day yesterday he kept saying "Don't let me forget to call Courtney after the kids leave"! But I did not have to remind him.....he remembered first thing as they were leaving! Anyways, I wish I were as creative as you and could think of all these little things you always do for everybody that make you so special in our hearts and in our lives. We love you so much! And please tell Taron Uncle Bob smiles everytime he has one of the most delicious cookies on earth! Which, by the way, are vanishing fast!!!!! Give Brandikins and T a hug and a kiss form us!Love you guys! Love Aunt Debbie

Teething

Teething is no fun. T has had the HARDEST time with all of her teeth. But these 2 year molars are a bear. My 12 hour a night sleeper has gone to waking at least 2 times a night and will not sleep unless Mommy is right by her. If I forget to give her "somme" medicine in her vocabulary, then I have a crazy, crying, unhappy kid until the medicine kicks in and then I have my T back. So exhausting, but we have also decided that we think she needs to be moved into her big girl bed. Sheets arrive today and she will go into it this weekend.....kinda scared, kinda excited and realizing my baby isn't a baby at all any more!

The above picture is of T's new bathrobe from Gammy and my new hairdryer. Darn 10 year old one finally gave out and I had to purchase a new one, thanks Costco for a GREAT $19.99 hairdryer!!

Friends

This post has nothing to do with Taron, but I need to write and well I am without Facebook until the end of Lent!!

We all have friends in our lives that are near and far, smeo really close friends some more just when it works out friends. I only have a handful of very close, very dear friends. Of course my husband and my mother are my closest of all, but then I have Adrienne.....thousands of miles away, but like she lives next door. We are kindred spirits. I have Andi my "Soul Sista" at church and Uncle Wes..... Best friends since 5th grade! But then I have fair friends and family. Some times those fair family happen to show up on your door step on Valentine's Day, when your hubby is in Canada with roses. Abe Marquez  you will forever hold a very special place in my heart and I love you like I love my Uncles. I needed you tonight more then you will ever know. It was a God thing!! Thank you Abe and thank you Lord for sending him to my door step.

Facebook

I have given up Facebook and Instagram for Lent. 40 days of more focus on the family and daily devotions and less focus on FB. There has been a lot of negativity on FB lately and it isn't good to get sucked into it, and I am. I have even been seeing it on Instagram and I am dedicated to this journey. As Jesus journeyed towards the cross, let me journey to being more Christ like.

Just busy

 Favorite thing to do, play stickers and write!

Taron is eating non stop right now!!! 

Life is just so busy these days. Not because we are taking on too much, but just trying ot be there for my Mom, visit my Dad daily and still keep a decent house and enjoy life a bit, I seem to always be falling behind. But, T is bright spot in every day, my everything. We really haven't done anything fun lately, but I have finally found T some jeans that fit; 2T Mini Skinny at Gap and Arizona Skinny jeans at JCPenny with the waist pulled all the way tight!!! I also took her to Nordstroms to have her foot measured and we bought her another pair of Toms in navy blue and a pair of light up Stride Rite's in 7 1/2. She is measuring a full 7 Narrow....wish they made the NARROWS in kids sizes! Little Peanut!

The Crib

I know the days of T being in her crib are coming to an end, so I must capture her sweetness and her love of her crib while I can.

Mommy's 33rd Birthday

Today is my birthday, I am happy and content with my beautiful family and life and blessed beyond measure. Taron has been an angel all day today and has been in a loving, kind, happy mood.

 Mommy's birthday dinner at the Monterey Airport, the Golden Tee has amazing food and we got to watch the planes come and go!

She was so amazing, best manners, quiet and kind that the MANAGER brought all of us ice cream. So proud of our sweet 2 year old! And this was her first time in a booster seat at a restaurant  She kept asking for a highchair, it was cute!

Sunday Quotes

Taron has been known to say things during church, especially when it is DEAD silent in church. Some of my favorites are:

"FIIRREE" when seeing the Advent Wreath all light up while at the communion railing"

Yelling "More" while the Organist is moving on to the next hymn or song

"Jesus" well since we are in church let's just yell it!!!

But today was a topper....Pastor is Chanting the Sacrament of the Alter before we take communion and Taron informs all of us around her....."Pador (Pastor) Cooking".....okay sweet girl, Pastor is cooking.

Winter lawn care

Daddy doesn't have to mow often in the winter, maybe once a month, but he has a little helper when it is time to mow!

The is the only picture I got of T in her Christmas dress on Christmas morning. She will be wearing it in a few days to church again so I will try to get some better ones then.

Style

She's got style. I love it!

Phones

T loves a phone. Fake phone, cell phone, land line....even the remote can be a phone. She is also getting really good at unlocking our cell phones to get to "birds"(angry birds) and music. Sometimes she is a vit of a stinker about it makes us have to use our parenta voice, she then listens well.

Long few days

Wow, it has been a long few days and Taron isn't all the way over the flu yet. I am so far behind, need to pay bills, organize a mess of a house before the In Laws show up on Friday, grocery and Costco shop and sleep when I can find time. Oh and go back and spell check the postal from when I was sick and make them "make a little sense". I am almost excited for a few days at home with just T so I can get some stuff done!

First on the list is sleep, must sleep, so goodnight!

Got the flu! What a great 24 hours it has been, but what can one do. I got it the worst out of anyone, but I am truly amazed at the resilience of our sweet baby girl. On the mend now and am excites for my weekend get a away with my hubby. It will be our first time away from T over night since she came home from the hospital....wish us luck!

Icky Old Flu

I was woken up at 12:30 am or otherwise know as o dark thirty by a screaming baby. When I went into her room I found a baby and a bed covered in throw up. She then decided to throw up on me as I was getting her out of the crib. We were up all night. She finally stopped the constant throwing up about 3 and we mapped for 45 minutes. Up until 5 then and after that sheslept from 5-7 in me on the couch. She asked milk at 7:30 this morning so we are trying it and seeing what happens....praying it doesn't come back up. I would so anything in the world to keep her from getting this.

Happy New Year
